The Wall Mounted Air Disinfection unit which can also be used as a floor standing unit, is a device designed for use in enclosed indoor spaces. The unit replicates a process that occurs in nature through the degradation of Ozone by naturally occurring olefins.
A bi-product of this reaction is the Hydroxyl Radical, a reactive Oxygen Species which is highly unstable and reacts with bacteria, viruses and fungi by attacking most known species.
The unit produces rapid disinfection in enclosed spaces and is also very effective at removing odours. It does all this without the need for air circulation or filtration and is quiet, compact and easy to operate.
In contrast with some competitive products it is not necessary to evacuate the room during sanitization; the AD unit is designed to operate in busy lived-in environments.
Commonly used to protect against bacteria, viruses and fungi in hosipatals, care centres, health centres, doctors' surgeries, offices, hotels, gyms, changing rooms, schools, etc...

The Hydroxyl Radical
The Hydroxyl Radical (OHº) is essential to life; in the body, OHº is produced by cells to kill invading pathogens as an integral part of the body’s own immune system. In the open air OHº is produced by the interaction of ozone and natural olefins, which are released by plants and flowers.
OHº is a transient energy source, however, when it reacts with molecules on the surface of a pathogen, more OHº is produced which creates a natural cascade, creating more OHº to destroy more pathogens. This means that even a low level output of OHº is capable of disinfecting an enclosed space. The disinfection effect has been repeatedly proven at UK Government facilities against challenges such as Clostridium difficile (C.diff), live Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and MS2 Phages at Leeds University. These tests demonstrate that with OHº, a room was maintained below infectious levels even when a high density of pathogens was continually added into the test chamber.
The Technology
1. New Technology
2. Attacks viruses, bacteria and fungi
3. Effective against Norovirus, S. aureus,C. diff, H1N1 and flu variants
4. 99.999 % effective against MS2 coliphage
5. Compact (48cm high), quiet and easy to use
6. Low power consumption
7. Anti-tamper features
The technology has been laboratory tested against:
1. The MS2 coliphage, a safe surrogate for Norovirus, H1N1, H5N1 and flu viruses.
2. Vegetative and spore forms of Clostridium difficile.
3. Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Mycobacterium parafortuitum, Aspergillus fumigatus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Serratia marcescens, Bacillus subtilis, Burkholdiria cepacia, Staphylococcus epidermidis and Acinetobacter baumannii.
The unit has also been evaluated extensively in several UK hospitals with exceptional disinfecting results and proven reduction in reported cross infection cases.
